If we have lost hope, then we cannot go on. We won‘t go on. God wants to bring hope back into our hearts.

Our circumstances might be totally distressful, and we might see absolutely no solution ahead, but we still can have hope. The song writer showed us this. Our faith does not need to be great. Faith can ride on a tiny boat of hope.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper, And from the deadly pestilence. (Psalms 91:1-3, NASB).

God helped this psalmist in his impossible situation (Psalm 91); He is willing to help us too. In this limited sense, difficulties are a blessing. They give us opportunity to discover God's ability and desire to help us. Remember stressful situations do not cause our anxieties but only reveal them!
