Dear Prayer Team,

The Challenge Begins

Paul and Linda will be taking off tomorrow (Aug 31) to go to the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina for a church retreat whose topic is The Family. Paul will speak on parenting. Another speaker will focus on marriage. We need your grace! Four of Paul's talks will be in Chinese. Linda still struggles to prepare two workshops for the sisters.

Shortly after returning, Paul will have a little time to prepare himself for the India and Malawi trips. The usual hassles are being faced (the evil one doesn't want him to go prepared). Paul has sent both his laptop and camera in for repairs (fortunately both under warranty). The laptop hard drive was emptied so many things need to be reconfigured. Many extra things to do to get ready. Paul expects to speak about fifty times.

On a positive note, Eugene will join Paul in Malawi. The only problem (so far) is that he will arrive at a different airport after the first seminar has already begun. Pray that transport coming and going will be smooth. We also thank the Lord for His faithful provision for the trip. Only $800 to go. Praise the Lord! He is so faithful. Your prayers and giving make every bit of difference in the advance of His kingdom.

Remember when Moses' arms dropped, the battle worsened, but when his arms were held high, they began to win. In India and Malawi we see a great need for strengthening the faith and teaching the pastors and church planters. Thank you for joining the battle and holding us up in prayer.
