English Introduction

A young believer must become strong in God’s Word, learn to trust the Lord, and overcome temptation. This lesson examines the stages of the spiritual young person and the mature spiritual parent, showing how truth, obedience, and service lead Christians toward maturity and fruitful ministry.

This resource is bilingual: Luganda first, followed by English teaching and media resources.

  1. What are the three stages of Christian growth that John describes? How do these form an analogy for the physical development of a person?

  2. List the items that the elderly apostle says to this second level of young believers? Look in 1 John 2:12-14. Be specific.

  3. What characterizes this first stage of the Christian's growth?

  4. What are the problems or challenges that those in this spiritual stage will face?

  5. Why are there so many believers that are not growing?

  6. Summarize what is suppose to happen at this stage of spiritual growth.

  7. What might happen if Christians in this spiritual stage do not get the needed support? Be specific.

  8. Are you in this second stage? Were you trained to overcome temptation? How would you explain it to another?

  9. Have you discipled others at this stage. Pleae elaborate.
