Releasing God’s Truth!
Dear Prayer Partners,
“Can the papyrus grow up without marsh? Can the rushes grow without water?” (Job 8:11)
The answer to the above questions from the book of Job are rather obvious. So is our need for God to do greater things in the hearts of His people through the BFF resources. It is not enough to have thousands of people daily visiting our website or using our resources or even attending our Peru seminars. People don’t need man’s word but God’s!
BFF’s theme has been “Releasing God’s truth to a new generation!” Our resources, whether it be video, book, article or our huge libraries packed with relevant resources on Christian life need God’s Spirit to unleash the power of God. When the darkness mounts up around us, may the Spirit of God, like water to a seed, be poured upon His people.
Peru
Our trip to Peru is coming up quickly. Kathryn’s passport has arrived. Plane tickets largely worked out. We are looking forward to working with two larger churches, one in the south in Arequipa and the other in Lima. Some seminars will be focused on the general congregation while others for Christian leaders.
The schedule is quite packed and has sent me working hard to prepare materials so they can translate them. Kathryn is also seeking the Lord for any messages for opportunities that might open up for her. I’m hoping she will give a her perspective of Christian parenting during our parenting seminar.
Praise!
-
So many things have been readied for our Peru STM, including many handouts and powerpoint slides. Still, lots to do but praise God for what has been completed.
-
Paul’s back has been healed as of last week. He was out splitting wood with Isaac the next day. Something about a week later, though, has brought it back in a smaller way.
-
Allison, our third daughter, will be graduating in May! Pray for her for God’s leading and provision as she applies for graduate school in publishing.
-
Daniel is studying one credit less than full-time and doing well at a nearby college. Continue to pray for guidance for him.

Parenting weekly class starts tomorrow, March 9th (postponed from last week), for 8 sessions.
-
Reaching Beyond Mediocrity (Sunday mornings) is taking us into some very focused teaching: overcoming anxiety, anger, depression, lusts and pride. Getting good feedback. Do pray. This series continues on at our church (OIF) until the end of April.
-
Do pray for the Lord to spiritually prepare the people attending the many Peruvian messages (through a translator) from mid to late April. Remember our financial needs.
-
Pastor Alberto is home but still going in for rehabilitation.
-
Pastor Fikre from Ethiopia is studying at Calvin seminary. His family will be coming to join him in during his studies. Do pray for a vehicle and other needs for them.
-
May God pour out His Spirit in these last days!
-
Also pray for Pastor Jagannath from India coming March 20th. (Skype texting with him just now! He has some videos from a seminar.)
Thanks so much for your prayers!
Paul
