Loving Your Teammates

A harmonious team joyously gets God's work done.

"My beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.... live in harmony in the Lord." (Philippians 4:1-2)

Jesus is honored by teammates who love and need each other.

4) Loving Your Teammates

Our fourth and last principle for church planting was, "A harmonious team joyously gets God's work done." We need to simply love our colleagues and coworkers.

Notice the warm words of love for Paul's teammates here in Philippians 4:1-2:

  • 'Beloved,'
  • 'I long to see,'
  • 'my joy and crown,'
  • 'beloved,' and 'harmony.'

Could we note more tender affection than Paul expressed there in those few words? I don't think so. This is the joy, love and harmony that we experienced during this church plant.

Jesus was honored by the love among His teammates which loved and cared for each other. The people of Wujya community saw Jesus' love through the team's love for each other.
