Combating Fears in Our Lives

We all have fears. For many of us they all seem to come and go. But if we take a closer look at fears, we will see that they do not go as quickly as they come. In fact, some lives are dominated by perpetual fears which rouse their ugly heads when desired. One person will not go to sleep by himself. Another is deathly afraid of certain places.
The Scriptures say that the ones we fear are the ones we serve. Second Peter 2:19 says:
“... promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.” NASB
