New Year Opportunities

"I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite." Isaiah 57:15 (NASB)

Dear Prayer Partners,

Let me share some of the special opportunities God has given us!

A life desire

Knowing God: Experience and Love Him is the title of our new Sunday training class. For many years I have wanted to teach on God's glorious character. Not only do I get to teach it, but I get to do it with an OMFer, Ridge Orr (we used to belong to same organization). Each lesson both humbles and elevates my spirit. Two of the lessons are already posted!

A fun phone call

Today a pastor called after purchasing Discipleship 1,2,3 libraries. He called to let me know how happy he is. God has called him to teach but did not have the where with all to organize the materials. Now he can use BFF materials, adjust them to suit his needs and go teach! He is so happy.

I am happy too because he will be going to places of great need like Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, etc. He is eager to learn Swahili. So I pointed him to our bilingual Swahili material! May God bless Pastor A on his March trip to Africa.

A radio call

A call-in radio program in Houston wanted me to speak to those interested in some form of ministry. I was preparing to take Linda to the ER with asthma problems (In the end she did not need to go - and yes we are better) so I declined. The host called me again because the topic was extended another week. It was exciting to share how God trains people for ministry.

You might wonder how she knew about me. She found my book, Take Your Next Step into Ministry and thought it was the best around.

A big trip

Many of the plans are falling into place for the March-early April trip to Africa: Malawi and Ethiopia. This trip will not give me any rest. Each seminar is different! Discipleship 1, Discipleship 2, Marriage and Parenting. They requested for me to stay longer, but I declined.

check Our budget for these four seminars will be $10,000+. So do pray and give as the Lord leads. Unfortunately, this year there are higher fees for stopping in Ethiopia (where one of the seminars will be.) Seminars in Africa tend to be more expensive.

For those wanting to invest in this STM please mail your gift to my home address (bottom), with the check written out as seen. I will put it in our church's (PCCO) offering, and they will send you a tax deductible receipt at the end of the year. (Thanks for your patience!) Writing BFF STM in the memo assures that it will be used for BFF's Short Term Mission trip. If you give directly to BFF, we cannot at this time assure you that you will receive the tax deductible receipt.

Praise!

Paul finished the 105-video-long video training course, Reaching Beyond Mediocrity, a discipleship 2 course! Thanks for your prayers to endure. (Just finishing it up now.)
We prepared ebooks (epub and mobi) of The Godly Man.
Most of the items on my whiteboard list were actually accomplished by the end of the year, even more! Only 9 weeks before I leave!
Linda and I are much better after getting hit with a bad chest cold.
Paul remade the Parenting handouts today for the Malawi seminar.

Pray!

Paul is still sending handouts, buying tickets and arranging for the seminars.
African airplane tickets to be bought today.
Paul is clearing up many tax issues that come with the new year.
May God use BFF material across the world to bring great blessing.
Pray for Pastor A. As he goes to Africa to teach the Word of God.
One orphanage/Bible School in Myanmar (Burma) needs $2500.00 for yearly rent.
