OT Map of Palestine at Time of Conquest
This map shows how the land was distributed during the time Joshua conquered Canaan. Note the different tribes but also their ancestors. Canaan was of course largely from descendants of Ham (Girgashites, Hivites, Hittites, Amorites, Jebusites, Perizzites and the Philistines. Shem also has his ancestors (Ammonites, Edomites, Moabites). Usually the nations were named after their forefather who 'started' the tribe or nation.
There is also a larger graphic file (png) free to copy! See below.
This map can serve as a great tool in helping students understand what the land of Canaan looked like at the time of Joshua when he conquered Canaan. You might use this map and then show a larger map of the descedants of Noah's three sons. This is a more detailed of one small region of the world.
