The Godly Man

When God Touches a Man's Life

Introduction to The Godly Man

The Godly Man challenges us to thrust ourselves onto the path of godly living. We admit we have not arrived, but what is there to hold us back from increasing in our godly character each day? "Be holy, for I am holy." Going to church does not make us a godly man. Seminary degrees do not make us holy. Godliness is not found in doing or not doing one or two things. It is a comprehensive dedication of each aspect of our lives to do what God wants us to do.

We have found that we are often held back in our lives by faulty concepts, which in turn are built on wrong concepts of God and what He says about our lives. The Godly Man tackles ten of these major hindrances to godly living through diverse Biblical studies. Theological inquiries and word studies are threaded together with powerful studies from God's Word to call us to break from worldly thoughts and be more godly like Jesus.

Description of The Godly Man

"Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me"
(Job 27:5)

God's attributes are often wrongly studied.
God's attributes are not only to observe God's character but to affect man's life by producing godly lives.
Pure hearted men are loyal; Loving men will not lust;
Truthful men will not deceive;
Waiting upon God keeps man from dependence on his own resources;
Goodness of God brings contentment; Fear of God strips away fear of man.

When a man draws close to God, he necessarily is more like Him.
